Artist's CommentsAlchemy , a part of the Occult Tradition, is both a philosophy and a practice with an aim of achieving ultimate wisdom as well as immortality. Hope you like it. As always, all fav and feedback is very appreciated. After my last image ( [link] ) a lot of you asked for another one, and some information regarding the set-up. And a lot asked about manipulations. None of my photos are manipulated, i use photoshop for contrast, grain removal, colortones and light. But i do not ad or remove objects other then dust and such. The light circles here/bokeh are from small lights i placed behind the cup. You can use all sorts of lights, but i really like working with small lights aka christmas-tree lights. the F1.8 makes the lights totally out of focus. I used a canon 50mm 1.8 lens here. i used tape/glue and hang the lights from a ceiling. It takes a while to get the set-up right, but i love working with it. |
