While I certainly agree with many of the comments given in the critique below, I didn't find originality to be as much of a concern. In fact, I would venture to say that this photo contains much more originality than most "typical" close-up flower pictures you would see on dA in which a specific petal or drop of water is focused on. That being said, this is still a floral picture, and it does feel familiar, but at the same time, there's something unique about it - it carries a story with it. As the title suggests, there's a lot of contemplation taking place. The muted, darker colors set a more somber tone than what you would normally find in the typical bright, sunny floral shot. And the flowers being pointed down is a brilliant touch that suggests a "thinking pose" of sorts. It's brilliant on so many different levels. Thanks for sharing something that's truly outside the norm.
This totally caught my eye. & that's something good, isn't it? I love the capturing, and the fading focus to the other flowers. Seems like the first flower is warmed by the sun, and the others aren't. This is it, was makes that shot a little bit special, the first flowers absolutely poke out! Let's see this from a techniqual view. There are many pictures like this, that are catching my eyes. It's always the same, always the same (cherry?)blossom, always made up in photoshop (or, hopefully, manuell in white balance.) .. Of course, this is a very beautiful shot. Everything is perfect there, no failure, mistake, no blurring. But in my eyes, it's nothing THAT special, you know? That's what you can always see on the first two pages of the "daily deviations" each day, trust me, there's always a picture like this. I really mean no harm, I'm sorry. But I think this is what critiques are made for: advices. Try something new, a new alignment or view, don't let unconscious imagination lead you to that. I hope I could help you a bit. (you must know, I love this picture, it makes me feel harmony and love, but there's something I miss. For me, a picture's really good when I can feel, smell or taste the things they show; in this case: I can't smell the spring, can't feel the sun on my skin or the low wind through my hair. It's all about the Originality.. :/ I'm sorry.)

Anyway, well done.
