I must say, that I'm not a fan of floral photos, neither I am fan of pink/purple color's - but this photo had me intrigued. It catched my eye and forced me to write a critique about it, when it's avaible. I just love how the image came out. Floral photos are very popular theme and there is a lot of it, that's why the Originality grade is only one star. Both the colors and the focus are great and I can't argue about that. The only thing that I would change personally is the cropping. I think It would look better If we could see the whole vase.
After all, I must say that it is a photo well done.
This is a beautiful photo! I love the warmth of the colours and how the flowers compliment the background being of a similar colouring (only darker) which provides a nice and somewhat different contrast. The depth of field is fantastic giving an interesting element to this shot. What also has me intrigued is the two roses, (I've assumed there is actually two you'll see why I say this in a minute) the placement of them makes it look like it is a mirror reflection as if there is only one rose and it is being reflected, this to me is very clever! The only thing that I would change is maybe to have slightly rotated the image so that it is straighter, but this photo is absolutely beautifu! Really well captured!
Aah... so calm and beautiful... not many colours. Just one type of colours. That's art. You're like talking through your pictures, and that's how photographers do. Only three words; Smooth, simple and lovly.
I love colours and the focus but I think the background is too confusing and slightly wonky angle of the vase keeps getting to me. I think there's too many different bold lines and conflicting shapes so you don't really know where to look. I think maybe if the vase had been further away from the window the shallow depth of field would have cancelled out the contrasting shapes but at the moment I feel the background lines are too bold so it becomes confusing. But I'll say it again, I love the colours and the focus, the content of the photograph is beautiful I just think some work needs to be done on composition
