Magical by Sortvind Magical by Sortvind
My Second Stamp, i still keep it simple and clean.

The Idea behind it is based on the whole "your camera must be great", "i wish i had your camera".
I seen brilliant shots with cheap cameras and really bad once with expensive.
Equipment does matter, but it does not do the work for you, it is not magical. :aww:

*I am not mad at people asking me what i use, just think i should make a bit of phun based on it*

Welcome to use for dA journals e.t.c

Any fav and feedback is appreciated

This is great! Although considering how clear some of the images are, sometimes I think your camera is magical. What kind do you use by chance?

the resolution matters, though. I have a cheap camera, and about 99.99% of the time i get crap.

So true! I love this! I get sick of people thinking that they can't make good art because they don't have a good camera. That's not true.

I'd actually be offended. Comments like those are the same as saying "It's not you, it's the camera." You're the one making such great shots, not just your camera.

The last issue of American Photographer had a really interesting article about this point. The article showcased cell phone photographers and their photos. Yes, it's definitely the person behind the camera and not the equipment itself.

Your stamp is a perfect,, concise way to get the point across and I love the way you did "Magical" with the magical colors.

there should be magical cameras, with pixie dust shooting out everytime you take a picture...it also should have an off button for a close up shot of a person... pixie dust in your eye is not the most wonderful experience

Thanks for the stamp :D

To an extent, yes. There are certain things that you just can't do with a point-n-shoot camera.
And the higher ISO your camera gets, the easier to shoot hand-held.
Just saying. =)

Best stamp I have seen in a very long time!!!! It's really insulting to be told "Omg your camera is awesome, I wish I had your camera". I just tell people "It's not just the camera ;) "
I too have seen people with high end pro cameras that I can only dream of that take crap shots. I always say "the camera is only as good as the skills of the photographer"

I agree with this stamp. It's also like telling an artist "You have such great work, you must have really nice tools!" or even "You must have been born with this incredible gift!"

Saying things like that discredit the person who actually made it :P

I've read a story about a woman, who said to a photographer: "Your shots are beautiful! You must have a very good camera!" When the photographer came to her for dinner the next day, he said "Your dishes are delicious! You must have a very good stove!" :D

This is such a true statment!

(Though I mean a 10MP wouldn't hurt for me)

I only have a pocket Olympus camera and I take really nice photos with just 8MP.

It's not an SLR though I wish I had one.

I believe it is only the eyes that makes the photo.
