Thank you all for the recent support Since i get a lot of equipment questions: I used Canon 350D, 50mm 1.4 set at 1.4. Taken in natural light and i underexposed the shot 3 steps to get one strong highlight area and darker overall
First of all, I'd like to say that every photography I've been finding on the front page that catches my attention appears to belong to you. You really have a gorgeous gallery.
From a technical standpoint, the depth of field is perfect, focusing just on the very end of the book and letting the pages fade into a blur. The fact that it's not focused too sharply helps to show a warm, dreamy atmosphere that could have been ruined, had there been too much contrast between the edges of the pages and the rest of the piece.
The lighting and colours are also amazing, catching the eye with a subtle contrast and warm colours, without being an eyesore.
And, while this is purely personal preference, I adore the subject matter used.

Today I sneezed and no one said bless you. It made me feel sad. The person next to me sneezed and I screamed bless you in there face to make them feel appreciated. They looked a little frightned. MLIA
I love the lighting very much and the colors fit very good. It reminds me of an old library with really old books. I think because of the depth of field the shot has something mystical.
