Overall i taken tons of photos of these plants/flowers, this one stood out from the crowd, the out of focus areas was just as i pictured them in my head.

I have gotten some questions earlier if i make the out of focus dots using blur or texture in photoshop. The answer is No, the areas is due to very shallow depth of field on the camera lens, in this case F2,8.

I focus on the middle part of a scenery to get the front and back out of focus aka Bokeh. You can read more about it here if you want to: [link]

In photoshop i removed grain using noiseware, and gave it a cross processing using curves adjustment layers and selective color. i cropped to square and resized.
