Am i the only one who reacts to the fact that people upload other peoples photos and just ad some text? I mean, i thought this was for people sharing their art, not for icanhascheezeburger pics..…
an example of an extremely popular upload...

i report all these i find, and i think other people should to.
on that shot he writes he has permission, though it is no url or information at all. doubt people has it on the usually motivational/fail shots that are here.
in general, i dislike shots like this on deviantart, they fall in the random boob and look-at-me-and-my-webcam category.

All feedback, fav, comments are very appreciated.
I reached the point where i don`t have time to reply, but i read them all.
if there is anything you want me to answer, just drop me a note.
Thank you for supporting me

So, DA is lying to us?

The Submission Agreement explicitly states that you, as the original artist, retain any and all rights appropriate to your artwork at all times. These rights include, but are not limited to, the full and exclusive copyrights to your original artwork. By agreeing to the Submission Agreement what you are really doing is granting deviantART the basic permissions we need in order to display, showcase, and make your artwork available to viewers using the various on-site systems and tools.

At no time do you lose ownership or any of the exclusive copyrights granted to you by law on any deviation or scrapbook submission which you make to deviantART

DeviantART will not use your work for any project without first consulting you and obtaining your consent.

That's wat in FAQ #226: Does deviantART own my art?

I dont upload my best stuff cos I'm nervous about it being pinched before I decide what to do with it myself. It's so easy to grab stuff. Even low res people can pinch and use it the net. Yeah but that e.g. is a bit lame.

I've been doing this kind of reporting for 4 years now here on dA. I recently reported this guy [link]

I get tired of seeing people posting photos of celebrities and any other art/images not belonging to them, as I'm sure they do not have permission to do so. It's become a serious issue here and I'm getting tired of seeing it. :| People need to get their own cameras, take their own photos or in the case of the guy I gave a link to, he needs to digitally paint or draw the images of celebrities and then make them wearing see through clothing.

I totally agree on that :-)

Though I must say that those images didn't come to my screen now for a long time.. maybe just because I don't have (or spend) that much time on dA browsing on the front pages..

I have plenty to keep up with just my message center xD
