Myspace is so filled with junk. I guess it could be a useful tool for promoting your artwork, since it is supposed to be like... the most visited site on teh interwebs...

But I can't be arsed to make it useful.

I mostly just put links to my work for my friends and family to see. If it gets passed along, even better. However, I wouldn't say it's a great tool for promoting though. Red bubble or perhaps having your own site would be better to promote your work.

I don't think myspace is great for artwork at all. I tried showing some of mine, but only a few people actually commented it. I think you would be wasting time. Just stick to showing art on here or wherever else you like

No. Myspace is blogspace. Most folks there are there for social networking, not looking for the next great artist. You should consider using a site like RedBubble, which is free AND allows you to sell your work. It's quite lovely.

OR...use the portfolio dA provides! It's currently in Beta, but once it's live I'll be using it all the time. 'Course, I'm a beta tester, so I've got it now... it's very neat and shiney!

When one has dealings with scholars and artists it is easy to miscalculate in opposite directions: behind a remarkable artist one not infrequently finds a mediocre man, and behind a mediocre artist often a very remarkable man.

I use myspace for networking, it's a decent way to meet people, and other actors, and if they have artwork up I'll look at it. Most people that are into art have links to their other websites though...

Myspace is good for underground music too. The only thing I've really been able to get out of facebook is connecting with old classmates. *shrugs* I'll prolly stick to deviantArt mostly for art type stuff

myspace is good IF you intend to do commercial shoots for clients...for example, if you want people to contact you to do private shoots, then MySpace is fine...but to sell prints and stuff, NO!!! DONT USE MySPACE!!!
